Concrete Angel

As a student in Paris, some of my favorite pieces were 

the Medieval tempera and gold paintings done on wood.

This is my attempt at it.


Wings - Concrete
Halo - Oil Spill
Cloud - Painted line on asphalt

The urban landscape is beautiful.

What some call ugly, I find stunning.

The concrete jungle.

Rust, ruin, decay.

Abandoned buildings.

Gum spit out on the asphalt.

Tar.

Brick.

Chain-link.

Graffiti.

Steel.

Cigarette butts.

Paint splatter.

Iron.

Oil spills.

Factories.

Broken windows.

An ecosystem unto itself.

A vibrant, living thing.

My art is an attempt to share the beauty I see all around me.
